Basil Doc's Tuesday Night Hillclimb

This ride runs from May through August and starts at 6:00 PM at our regular Golden start point, weather permitting.

This out-and-back route leaves from Parfet Park. We ride together to the base of Lookout Mountain on 19th Street, just across from US Highway 6. From here, each person rides his/her own speed to the top of Lookout Mountain, where we regroup. The finish line is at the entrance of the Buffalo Bill Museum. From Parfet Park to the finish line is 6.5 miles with a gain in elevation of 1,580 feet. If conditions permit, additional mileage may be added. Extras include the Boettcher Mansion loop, out to US Highway 40, and out to the Genesee exit.

Everyone is invited. The route is best suited for average to above average riders.

In 2011, a gift certificate to Basil Doc's Pizza will be given away at random each week (you must be a member to win).
